04:58 pm - Very Interesting Article
I never really gave this much thought. Barbie wasn't the catalyst behind my eating disorder, so never thought about her real proportions. But, I do know that a lot of young girls try to look like her. Why I'll never know. But, here's a good look at what Barbie would look like if she was a real woman.

I don't think any young girl would want to look like her if they saw this.

11:29 am - Lola?
Right now, I'm listening to "Whatever Lola, Lola Gets" and I know there's a story there somewhere.

What is your idea of the perfect job? Do you think you'll ever get it?

Being the QB for DA BEARS!

Nope. I'm too old - and NOT Bret Favre - and a woman, so hence, I only get to watch the hunky QB for Da Bears!

Here's the aforesaid hunky Bears QB, Jay Cutler! :)

(Yes, I realise in this one, he was the Broncos QB, but he was hot then too! LoL)

11:14 pm - Flist Thoughts?
Okay...since 3 of you told me that I shouldn't care what others think of what I post on here, I'm posting this. It's not done, nor is it even close to being done. But, thought I'd run it by my Flist and get some thoughts on it. What should he being talking about? What should the title be? How do you think it should go? How do you think it should end? Does there need to be more imaginative romance it? Does he see her like she sees him? Things like that. Anyway, here goes:

Addie sat in the red winged chair, listening as Josh regaled everyone with his stories. As the fire flickered behind him, she just stared at him. There was something about Josh that truly intrigued Addie and she found herself completely entranced by him. Addie discovered it was hard to concentrate on what Josh was saying, so she simply sipped her tea and nodded every so often as he spoke.

Josh's blue eyes sparkled as he talked. His voice seemingly sing-songed as he spoke and Addie imagined that was what an angel talking must sound like and a small sigh escaped her lips before she could stop it. She turned away, blushing, afraid that Josh had heard the sigh.

Indeed, he had, but he simply smiled a crooked smile as he looked over at Addie. Not wanting to embarass the auburn haired beauty any further than she felt, he contined to his story.

That's all for now. Now...comment with your opinions on what you think should be next...in the story, etc...

06:43 pm - Writer's Block: Better than leftovers
If you had to eat the same thing for dinner every night for the next year, what would you choose?

(Like I don't already have it every night for dinner! haha)

06:15 pm - Just A Thought
I'm trying to decide about this journal. I don't want to lose my beloved imagination, but I don't want to completely overwhelm either.

I don't normally care about what others think of my journal and how I should keep it, but I don't want to overwhelm my readers (aka FLIST!) with all my flights of fancy.

Just wondering what you all think?

02:05 pm - Writer's Block: Next stop: Hollywood
Which book that you've read would make a great movie, and why? Who would you pick to play the main characters?

I would actually like to see someone get LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRARIE right. Laura pretty much spills her life out for us and yet, there has been way too much creative license on her life.

Laura was a BRUNETTE, not a blonde. She makes that very clear and if you have ever seen pictures of her, you'd know that.

While there are some areas that can be created because there were conversations that weren't always spilled out, her life is pretty much there, in those pages. I just don't know how Hollywood can get HARRY POTTER or TWILIGHT right, but not the life of a REAL PERSON, who lays her life out in black and white?

If I could, I would choose Melissa Gilbert to play grown up Laura. That's the only thing that that stupid show got right. Melissa Gilbert is practically Laura Ingalls Wilder's doppleganger.

Not sure about anyone else. No one else in Hollywood strikes me...I don't know...

02:14 pm - Me? An Adult? Are You Kidding?
You ever just feel lost? Almost like no matter what you do, you can't seem to find your way anywhere?

That's how I feel right now.

I know that my conversations aren't always "adult", but the "adult" conversations I have heard have all revolved around sex or sexual innuendos (like that's not high school!), politics (which this is one topic that you should never really discuss since it's such a heated one), work (yeah...I so have a job to talk about), the really horrible stuff on the news (yes, it's important, but it shouldn't be the only topic of conversation) or the weather (out here in the PNW, all we can talk about the weather is whether or not the rain will become hail).

When anyone reading this was a little kid, do you remember trying to sound like an adult when you and your friends were talking? I know I did. And, adult conversations with me involved sound like that 12 year old girl trying to be a grown up.

As a kid, I never really had the "teen" conversations. I was around a lot of adults and now, I can't have the "teen" conversations. I get it. I do. I'm just never taken seriously when I try to have adult conversations, so I don't try anymore.

I can handle "adult" conversations, but please don't ask me to give up my imagination. It is what has kept me going thru life. I'll have as many stupid, dull, boring "adult" conversations you want, but don't take my imagination.

My imagination is a HUGE part of who I am and without it, I am lost.

10:51 am - Writer's Block: No reservations required
If you could go out to dinner with a character from a current TV show, who would you choose, and why?

Since it wasn't specified if it was a reality show or a scripted show, I have three:

Garcia from Criminal Minds because she is warm, compassionate, and super funny. She just looks like she'd be a lot of fun to hang around with.

Marshall from How I Met Your Mother because he's really cute and Lily doesn't deserve him. Plus he seems that he'd be funny as well.

Josh Gates from Destination Truth because he's hot. I mean HOTT! LoL
